The fantasy blockbuster “Call Me Exorcist ” released its “Romance Special” featurette today (6th). The charming lead actor JC Lin and rising actress Regina Lei form the exorcist couple “LuTang CP,” sparking nonstop chemistry on screen — from battling evil spirits to exchanging sweet glances, with plenty of hilarious interactions throughout.

Their on-screen chemistry is undeniable, filled with pink bubbles and laughter. Austin Lin shared,
“We worked together in a music video years ago. It felt like meeting an old friend again after a long time. She was still very young back then. Collaborating again this time was fun — I can really see her growth as an actress.”

Before filming, the two attended action training and dance classes together, and often went out for coffee after work. Regina Lei laughed,
“He’s very different from my first impression! This time I realized he’s actually super humorous, very funny, and really warm!”

JC Lin also discovered a surprising side of Regina, saying:
“She looks gentle and sweet, but her hobbies are the complete opposite — she loves extreme activities like biking and diving. It’s very interesting.”

When asked about the most memorable moment during filming, both immediately mentioned a thrilling wire stunt scene. Regina described the wirework as “super exciting,” while Austin watched from the side, full of envy:
“I really wanted to try those moves too!”

There were also plenty of fun moments on set. Regina often had to livestream with a stabilizer in the film, helping capture footage for Austin Lin’s character, the unlucky “Tang Zai.” She laughed,
“The stabilizer sometimes spun out of control — I really couldn’t stop laughing! But Austin was amazing; he managed to improvise and save the scene with his acting.”
JC Lin recalled another scene involving magical creatures flying around:
“It was so absurd that we couldn’t stop laughing during rehearsals.”

the newly released Romance Featurette, behind-the-scenes clips show Austin and Regina constantly laughing and working in perfect sync. Their “LuTang CP” pairing shines with adorable chemistry. Austin’s character, Tang Zai, often makes Regina’s character A-Lu-Mi laugh, yet also causes messes that she ends up helping him clean up.

Speaking about her “loser boyfriend,” Regina joked:
“He’s a character you love and hate — very charming, but sometimes you just want to tell him: ‘Can you please be more proactive?’”
In the film, A-Lu-Mi is essentially Tang Zai’s biggest support. Austin agreed,
“A-Lu-Mi supports everything Tang Zai wants to do!”
This makes Tang Zai seem like an overgrown child. Austin admitted,
“When you meet someone who treats you so well, you want to prove you’re worthy — but Tang Zai keeps failing to reach that expectation.”

The film “Call Me Exorcist ” follows Tang Zai (JC Lin), who refuses to inherit the secret exorcism techniques of his grandfather Master Tang (Yu An-Shun), and instead sells squid at a fishing port with his girlfriend A-Lu-Mi (Regina Lei). When searching for a rumored mummy, Tang Zai crosses paths with his grandfather’s old ally Baba Ji (Jiang Tan Jia-Yan) and his grandson Sang Jie (Agyemba Gyewaah). They discover that the evil god Ashura has possessed a gang successor, Feng Ji (Aggie Chang), unleashing chaos and bloodshed.

Tang Zai is forced into the exorcism battle. Baba Ji sacrifices himself to save him, and after losing both his dear friend and lover, Tang Zai begins studying blood sorcery from his grandfather’s notes. He later joins Sang Jie again to fight the resurrected Ashura. When Ashura possesses A-Lu-Mi and gravely injures Tang Zai, the shock awakens his hidden power. Understanding the true meaning of Baba Ji’s final message, Tang Zai and Sang Jie summon the Goddess Kali’s power to defeat Ashura and fulfill his grandfather’s mission.

The film is set to premiere nationwide on December 31.
