The upcoming New Year’s fantasy blockbuster “Call Me Exorcist” released its “Love Featurette” today (6th), starring JC Lin and Regina Lei as the charismatic exorcist couple dubbed “LuTang CP.” The duo brings both comedic charm and romantic chemistry to the screen — exorcising demons by day and stealing hearts by night.
The on-screen chemistry between the two is undeniable. JC Lin shared,
“We worked together years ago in a music video, so seeing her again felt like meeting an old friend after many years. She’s grown so much — it’s fascinating to see her evolution as an actress.”
Regina Lei added with a laugh,“The first time I met him, I thought he was really cool. This time, I discovered he’s actually super funny and warm!”
Both actors recalled the high-tension wire stunt scene as their most unforgettable moment. Lei described it as
“Absolutely thrilling!”
while Lin laughed and admitted,
“I was standing there thinking — I want to try those moves too!”
Before filming, the pair trained together in action choreography and dance, often chatting for hours afterward. JC Lin joked,“She’s totally different from her sweet image — she’s into extreme sports like motorbiking and diving. Super cool!”
Lei recalled a hilarious on-set mishap,
“The stabilizer went rogue and started spinning on its own — I couldn’t help but laugh, but JC totally saved the scene with his quick reactions!”
Lin added,
“We had another scene with flying monsters that was so absurd during rehearsal we couldn’t stop laughing.”
Lei plays Arumi, the supportive yet strong-willed girlfriend, saying,
“My loser boyfriend is sometimes so frustrating! You love him but also want to yell, ‘Can you be more proactive?!’”
Lin, who plays Tang-Tsai, the reluctant exorcist, admitted,
“Arumi supports him no matter what, which makes Tang-Tsai seem like a kid who never grows up. It’s realistic — sometimes you meet someone amazing, but you’re still trying to prove you deserve them.”
“Call Me Exorcist” follows Tang-Tsai (JC Lin), a small-town loser who refuses to inherit his grandfather’s exorcist legacy. Living a simple life selling squid with his girlfriend Arumi (Regina Lei), he is thrust into chaos after encountering a cursed corpse — leading to an epic battle against the resurrected demon Asura.
When Arumi becomes possessed, Tang-Tsai must confront his deepest fears and rediscover his inner power to fulfill his destiny as the world’s last hope.
