Formed through the iQIYI International reality show “Stars Awakening”, the popular boy group POLARIXofficially made their debut after the program’s finale on December 28, 2024. The nine-member group consists of Shao Zi-Heng, Lee Jun-Hyuk, Hsu Shih-Huan, Xin Che, Yang Si-Wei, Han Jie, Zhai Jun-An, Liang Tong-Hua, and Lee Duo-Yi.

After the pre-release of their single “Dream Awake (夢不眠)”, which generated massive online buzz, POLARIX officially launched their first EP “Prism Voyage (漫遊棱鏡)” today (28th), now available worldwide on major digital platforms.
The EP “Prism Voyage” features four tracks, including bilingual versions of “Dream Awake” (Mandarin and Korean) and two brand-new songs. Centered on the concept of “the refraction of light,” the album symbolizes youth, self-discovery, and infinite possibility, crafted by a team of international producers. Each track represents a ray of light passing through a prism, refracting into a new color — a metaphor for POLARIX’s debut journey and evolving identities.

As the group’s main dancer, 20-year-old Zhai Jun-An has captured fans’ hearts with his sharp moves, powerful stage presence, and unwavering determination. He expressed his excitement for the group’s first official release:“I’m so happy that we finally have a project of our own. The most unforgettable moment was performing ‘Dream Awake’for the first time at a music festival — when I met my fans’ eyes, I felt a real connection. In that moment, I knew every bit of effort was worth it, and I gained the strength to face every future stage with all my heart.”

Zhai’s passion for dance began in childhood. Whether during the survival show or on professional stages, he is known for refining every move to perfection, earning the reputation of being the group’s “hardworking core.”

Discovered and trained by Catwalk Group, Zhai underwent comprehensive performance and stage development, steadily building his confidence and artistry. Encouraged by his mentors, he auditioned for “Stars Awakening” and stood out among fierce competition, eventually debuting as a member of POLARIX.
On stage, Zhai captivates with his focus and energy; off stage, his warm personality and humor make him approachable and beloved by fans. With his striking visuals, growing artistry, and authentic charm, Zhai Jun-An’s brand value continues to rise, making him one of the most sought-after new-generation idols for fashion and commercial collaborations.

While reflecting on the preparation process for the EP, Zhai Jun-An openly admitted that he tends to be an anxious person. However, through this project, he learned to stop assuming failure before starting. “I tried to give my best in every step,” he said, “and in doing so, I began to trust my own flexibility and potential even more.”

The EP also includes a full Korean-language track, which posed a significant challenge for non-Korean members. Zhai shared warmly, “Our Korean members were incredibly helpful and patient, teaching me pronunciation carefully. In return, I helped them practice their Mandarin lyrics. This mutual exchange really strengthened our bond — every time we rehearse or refine a song together, there’s this indescribable sense of accomplishment.”

The title track “Stereotypical” embodies POLARIX’s founding spirit — breaking definitions and having the courage to be oneself.

He admitted candidly that while he is straightforward and sincere in private, being an idol inevitably comes with public expectations and labels. “After debuting, I realized there are many frameworks and pressures that come with this identity,” he explained. “But I truly believe a real idol is someone who can express their individuality on stage. I’m still learning how to find freedom within this role — to stay authentic and not be defined by others.”

Among all the tracks, “No Complaints” resonated with Zhai the most. Beyond its catchy melody, its lyrics convey a message of perseverance and positivity — to keep chasing dreams without complaints. “To me,” he said, “this song feels like a message to our fans, Luminix: You’re not alone — we’re walking this road together. I hope it can be a source of encouragement when people feel tired, and a reminder that maybe this isn’t the end — it’s just another beginning.”
