Regina Lei Breaks Into Korean Entertainment — Stars Alongside Ma Dong-Seok Speaks Fluent Korean During Press Conference

Taiwanese rising star Regina Lei (雷嘉汭), best known for her breakout performance as Indonesian migrant worker Linain The Defender of the Eight Arches, has officially made her acting debut in South Korea.

She joins an all-star ensemble featuring Ma Dong-Seok, Park Hyung-Sik, Seo In-Guk, and Sung Dong-Il in the upcoming drama 《TWELVE》, where she plays “Rin-Rin,” an angel symbolizing the Snake in the zodiac-themed fantasy series.

Known for her emotional depth and versatility, Lei takes on a role that includes intense action sequences, showcasing a side of her talent rarely seen before.

At the press conference held in Seoul on the 20th, she impressed reporters and fans alike with her fluent Korean, humbly expressing her gratitude:

“It’s a tremendous honor to work alongside such senior actors. I’ve learned so much from this experience.”

In TWELVE, Lei portrays Rin-Rin, an angel representing the Snake among the twelve zodiac guardians. She flew to Seoul especially to attend the press event, showcasing her deep affection and dedication to the project.

At the Seoul press conference, she greeted the audience in fluent Korean, saying:“It’s a tremendous honor to work alongside such senior actors.”

Her heartfelt greeting reflected her genuine respect and emotional connection with the cast and crew.

Lei further shared:“Throughout filming, I tried to connect with Rin-Rin on a deeper emotional level. Every moment on set filled me with happiness.”

She also expressed gratitude toward her fellow cast members, who demonstrated outstanding teamwork both on and off camera.

TWELVE brings together an ensemble cast including Ma Dong-Seok, Park Hyung-Sik, Seo In-Guk, Sung Dong-Il, Lee Joo-Bin, Go Kyu-Pil, Kang Mi-Na, Sung Yu-Bin, Ahn Ji-Hye, and Regina Lei.

Inspired by the Eastern zodiac mythology, the series tells the story of twelve celestial beings who take human form to protect mankind and engage in fierce battles against dark forces.

TWELVE will premiere on November 23, streaming exclusively on Disney+ for global audiences.
